Why didn't I think to look on Amazon.ca for my books? Why am I doing this now? Why oh why must learning institutions continually rip us off? Why am I so dumb?

Can't you take the books back? I bet you can. Worth a shot. OR, better yet, sell them to some other student for $5 off and let them think they are getting a great deal.
